"NINE STORIES" is a photo book that captures Hikaru Utada's first nationwide tour in six years, "SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024," which marks the 25th anniversary of her debut, from the perspectives of nine photographers.

Named after the title of a short story by American novelist JD Salinger. Like that wonderful story, the story of Utada Hikaru's live performances held in nine cities are captured by leading contemporary artists such as Kimura Wahei, Suzuki Chikashi, Hosokura Mayumi, Kawauchi Rinko, Moriyama Daido, John Yuyi, Wing Shya, Homma Takashi, and Noguchi Rika, each with their own unique perspective, and woven together using the visual language of photography.
Only an extraordinary artist like Utada Hikaru could have collaborated with top photographers, resulting in a new and unprecedented form of live photography/photobook.
Through the photographer's perspective, Utada Hikaru's live performances, and by extension the existence of Utada Hikaru, will be presented as something that will remain forever, be it five, fifty, one hundred years from now or beyond.
